Beau L'Amour, Lane Warenski, Civil War Reenactment, and a Missed Western Movie Legend Team-Up?
Howdy Pilgrims,
April has been a busy month on The Great American Western, and I couldn't be more excited to share everything I’ve been working on.

🎥 Coming Soon: Civil War Reenactment POV Series
At the recent Pleasant Hill Reenactment, I strapped on a GoPro and captured a first-person view of the battlefield. You’ll get to experience the smoke, chaos, and camaraderie of Civil War life from the perspective of a reenactor in the ranks. These immersive videos are coming soon to the channel, but you can watch them before anyone else - I’m giving newsletter subscribers early access starting today.
The series includes immersive infantry combat, cannon fire, a rare rear-rank view, and the evening ball—filmed on the actual battlefield.
This is my first time using a GoPro, so if you have tips or feedback, I’d love to hear from you.
Watch the full series early here:

🎬 What If John Wayne and Clint Eastwood Had Starred in a Movie Together?
I’m currently working on a brand-new video exploring the time Clint Eastwood sent a script to John Wayne with the hope they’d co-star in a Western. It almost happened... until it didn’t. We’ll go behind the scenes to explain why Wayne turned it down and what might have been one of the greatest pairings in Western movie history.
